アタコラ[a.ta.kɔ.ʁa]（アタコラ山脈にちなんでAtacoraとも綴る）は、ベナン最北西部の県である。西はトーゴ、北はブルキナファソと国境を接し、内陸ではアリボリ県、ボルグー県、ドンガ県と接している。アタコラ山脈の主要都市にはナティティングーやタンギエタがあり、主要な観光地にはタタ・ソンバの家々、ペンジャリ国立公園、さまざまな滝などがある。アタコラ県は 1999 年に二分され、南部の領土が削除されて新たにドンガ県が設立された。アタコラ県の県都はアタコラ山脈にあるナティティングーである。
2013年現在、県の総人口は772,262人で、うち男性は380,448人、女性は391,814人です。女性の割合は50.70%です。農村部人口は62.80%、都市部人口は37.20%です。県の労働力人口は170,333人で、そのうち女性は27.20%です。無学歴世帯の割合は72.80%です。
地理
Atakora Department is located in the northwest of Benin, bordering Burkina Faso to the north, Alibori Department and Borgou Department to the east, Donga Department to the south and Togo to the west. The terrain is mainly forested mountains, from which two tributaries of the Niger River - the Mékrou River and the Pendjari River - originate.[2] Part of the Atakora Mountain Range is located in the region and continues into northeastern Togo.[3] The mountain range is characterised by numerous dambo areas (shallow wetlands) and head swamps.[4] The bulk of the Pendjari National Park lies within Atakora.
The northern regions of Benin receive one season of rainfall from May to September, compared to the southern regions which receive two spells of rain from March to July and September to November. Harmattan winds blow from the northeast during the months of December to March. The country receives an average annual rainfall of around 1,200 mm (47 in).[5]
Settlements
Natitingou is the departmental capital; other major settlements include Boukoumbé, Birni, Firou, Kouandé, Péhunco, Porga, Tanguiéta and Toucountouna.
Demographics
According to Benin's 2013 census, the total population of the department was 772,262, with 380,448 males and 391,814 females. The proportion of women was 50.70%. The total rural population was 62.80%, while the urban population was 37.20%. The proportion of women of childbearing age (15 to 49 years old) was 21.80%. The foreign population was 10,395, representing 1.30% of the total population in the department. The labour force participation rate among foreigners aged 15–64 years was 32.20%. The proportion of women among the foreign population constituted 47.90%. The number of households in the department was 107,599 and the average household size was 7.2. The intercensal growth rate of the population was 3.10%.[7]
女性の平均初婚年齢は19.1歳、平均出産年齢は27.8歳でした。女性の総合出生率指数は5.6でした。1世帯の平均世帯数は1.6世帯、1部屋あたりの平均人数は1.7人でした。県内の労働力総数は170,333人で、そのうち27.20%が女性でした。無教育世帯の割合は72.80%、就学児童がいる世帯の割合は42.70%でした。粗出生率は39.0、一般出生率は179.20、粗再生産率は2.80でした。[ 6 ]
この省の主な民族言語グループは、タンマリ族（ベタマリベまたはソンバとしても知られる）、ワーマ族、デンディ族です。他のグループには、バリバ、ビアリ、チャコシ(アヌフォとしても知られる)、グルマ、ラマ、ムベリメ、ナテニ、ンガンガム、ノートル、ミヨベ、ヨムが含まれます。[ 8 ]
行政区分
アタコラ県は1999 年に二分され、南部の領土は新設のドンガ県に移管されました。県庁所在地はナティティングーです。[ 9 ]アタコラは 9 つのコミューンに細分されており、それぞれが主要な町の 1 つを中心としています:ブクンベ、コブリー、ケルー、クアンデ、マテリ、ナティティングー、ペホンコ、タンギエタ、トゥカウントトゥナ。[ 9 ]
ベナンは元々6つの行政地域（départements）を有していましたが、現在は12に分割されています。各省庁の分散化された行政サービス（directions départementales）はそれぞれ2つの行政地域を担当しています。1999年に制定された法律により、地方行政の最下層である副県（sous-prefectures）は地方自治体へと移行しました。[ 9 ]市町村とコミュナル評議会は、地域の行政を統括する代表者を選出しています。市町村とコミュナル評議会の直近の選挙は2015年6月に行われました。[ 10 ]
