Garrulusは、カラス科のスズメ目の鳥類である旧世界カケスの属です。

分類学と系統学

この属は1760年にフランスの動物学者マチュラン・ジャック・ブリッソンによって設立されました^。[1]タイプ種はカケス（Garrulus glandarius ）です。^{[2] [3]} Garrulusという学名は、おしゃべり、せせらぎ、騒々しいという意味のラテン語です。^[4]

Three species are currently accepted,^[5] though some authors split Eurasian jay into three species, thereby accepting five species in the genus.^[6]
